Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter/band leader, LAWRENCE LEBO brings her “Don’t Call Her Larry” trilogy to an anti-pop, deconstructed climax with her summer release of her latest CD “Don’t Call Her Larry, Vol. 3, American Roots. Lawrence goes bar-room-raw, minimal, and shows us exactly what she can do. She is hard to categorize, for sure. Reviewers from Dirty Linen magazine got it right when they noted, “Lawrence sounds like what a daughter spawned by Ella Fitzgerald and Bob Wills might have." Lawrence Lebo is an uncompromising musical spirit who is certain to find herself in the company of the best of the best.
After a 20 years off to take care of her family, jazz vocalist LIN McPHILLIPS fearlessly returns to performing and recording. Prior to her hiatus from the music business, Lin performed in the SF Bay area for 35 years, including cutting 3 LPs with the Inner City Records jazz fusion group Solar Plexus. Lin comes back in full force with her recently released CD “My Shining Hour”, which is receiving excellent reviews and extensive airplay on radio stations throughout the country and on Sirius XM satellite radio. Cashbox Magazine says, “Lin McPhillips is modern maestro…a terrific example of the best in modern jazz.”
